April 17, 2009–Today’s Way: You can save yourself money as well as time and trips to the market by purchasing household staples in bulk.  If you don’t have a local bulk food store, most grocery stores have a bulk food area where you can find coffee, tea, cereal, grains, beans and flours, spices and candy for a cheaper price per pound than purchasing those same items prepackaged.  Buying in bulk is also good for the environment, since there are fewer resources required to produce packaging and then dispose of, whether in the trash or recycle bin.
